Service Description

I work with children age 4-years-old and up and specialize in the treatment of complex developmental trauma (childhood trauma) and disordered attachment. Historically, the population I've most frequently served is that of adopted children and their families. I do not work with this population exclusively, however, as I do also work with children and adolescents in general. My work, especially for younger clients, often involves at least one of the client's parents (dyadic work) in treatment. My work with children and families can include kinetic play, standardized TheraPlay(R), sandtray, EMDR, psychoeducation for parents, and therapy incorporating equines at limited times. A focus on relational neurosciences and attachment patterns runs thematically, throughout.
